Annotation

The story of people on the outskirts of human society, outsiders and their onus of feeling out rooted and their life being wasted. The dandy and drunkard Rufus gets acquainted with a salesgirl from the bazaar, Katarina and has a child with her – little Rufus. His friend, Churchill, also a wanderer; falls in love with Greta, who is much younger than himself. He has a daughter - little Greta - with her. While the relationships of the parents fall apart, the relationship of their two offsprings begins only once they mature. It seems that the wandering children, albeit having taken much after their fathers, have some hope…
